Moto Z2 Play has launched in India for Rs. 27,999, a week after it was unveiled worldwide. The smartphone is the successor to Moto Z Play, the first of Lenovo’s smartphones to do a lot of advertising for accessories called Moto Mods. The smartphone will go on sale on June 15 through Flipkart and offline stores and can be pre-ordered until June 14. The company had previously announced new Moto Mods, but they will not be available immediately in India. If you use Reliance Jio, you get an extra 100GB of 4G data when you buy the Moto Z2 Play.
Moto Z2 Play runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a pixel density of 401ppi. A 2.2GHz Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor powers the smartphone with 4GB of RAM. It has a 3000 mAh battery with fast charging, a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The 64 GB of built-in storage on the Moto Z2 Play is expandable via a microSD card (up to 2 TB).
