iPhone Q3 shipments up 40 percent in China; Apple reveals iPhone X screen repair costs After an 18-month decline in iPhone sales in China, Apple saw a 40 percent increase in shipments in the country in the third quarter, according to research firm Canalys. From July to September 2017, nearly 11 million iPhones were sold in China, compared to 8 million in the same period last year. Previously, Apple had negative year-over-year growth in China for six consecutive quarters.

“The high retail price is meeting pent-up demand for iPhone upgrades in the absence of the iPhone X,” said Canalys analyst Mo Jia, adding that price cuts on previous models after the iPhone 8 announcement also helped.

According to the company’s support page, expect to pay $279 (about Rs. 18,000) for screen repairs without AppleCare+ in the US, applicable after the standard one-year warranty period has expired. AppleCare+ for iPhone X costs $199 (almost Rs. 13,000) and is needed in the event of accidental damage not covered under warranty without AppleCare+. Another scenario where users have to pay for screen repairs is when the screen stops working, and the Apple warranty or AppleCare+ does not cover the iPhone X.

I love to travel, dance, and play volleyball. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. I started writing my blogs when I lived in California. I would wake up in the middle of the night and write something while listening to music and looking at the ocean. When I moved to Texas, I found a new place to write. I would sit in my backyard while everyone else was at work, and I could write all day.
