Xiaomi 12 Pro price in India starts at Rs. 62,999 – the new Xiaomi flagship phone debuted in India this week to take on the OnePlus 10 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S22. The Xiaomi 12 Pro is also the company’s first phone to debut in the Indian market with the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It offers features like a 120Hz E5 AMOLED display and three cameras on the back, one of which has a wider aperture than you normally see. In addition, it comes in 8 GB and 12 GB RAM options, along with standard 256 GB of onboard storage.

To understand how good the Xiaomi 12 Pro is in its price segment, Orbital host Akhil Arora speaks with Senior Reviewer Sheldon Pinto and Review Editor Roydon Cerejo on this week’s episode of the Gadgets 360 podcast.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a 6.72-inch WQHD+ (1,440×3,200 pixels) E5 AMOLED display equipped with second-generation LTPO technology to provide a dynamic refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz.

The phone also has a triple camera setup on the rear that houses all 50-megapixel sensors – aiming to deliver a consistent experience whether you’re capturing a wide-angle landscape or a traditional portrait.

Xiaomi has equipped Sony IMX707 as the primary sensor in the camera settings. It’s a large 1/1.28-inch sensor for a premium experience. The telephoto camera on the Xiaomi 12 Pro also comes with an f/1.9 aperture which is quite rare and not available on most competing options.

Aside from the signature camera, the Xiaomi 12 Pro offers quad speakers designed to deliver a surround sound experience. The phone also has Dolby Atmos for enhanced audio output and Dolby Vision for immersive HDR playback.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro also comes with 120W fast charging that the company previously offered on its mid-range models, including the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G and Xiaomi 11T Pro 5G. If you don’t want a traditional charging experience, the phone does offer 50W wireless charging.

One of the main areas where the Xiaomi 12 Pro downgrades the experience is the MIUI 13 preloaded with standard bloatware, which you’ll also get on other Xiaomi phones. The phone also doesn’t have a waterproof or splash-proof rating. This means that you must be very careful that it falls into a bucket of water.

We are talking about some unique camera features available on the Xiaomi 12 Pro that could come in handy for your next photo or video shoot. In addition, we will point out whether Xiaomi has room to bring the Xiaomi 12 Ultra as an upgrade to the Xiaomi 12 Pro shortly.

I have been blogging since August 2011. I have had over 10,000 visitors to my blog! My goal is to help people, and I have the knowledge and the passion to do this. I love to travel, dance, and play volleyball. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. I started writing my blogs when I lived in California. I would wake up in the middle of the night and write something while listening to music and looking at the ocean. When I moved to Texas, I found a new place to write. I would sit in my backyard while everyone else was at work, and I could write all day.
