Android 12 debuted at Google I/O 2021 keynote earlier this week. The new Android version has a list of customizations and dynamic color effects. Google also introduced new privacy options on Android 12. In addition to the next-generation Android operating system, Google presented a new version of Wear OS during the I/O keynote. Like Android 12, the latest Wear OS brings recent changes at the interface level. It also comes with fitness features from Fitbit and optimizations available on Samsung’s Tizen.

On this week’s episode of Gadget’s 360 podcast Orbital, host Akhil Arora speaks with reviews editor Jamshed Avari and senior reviewer Sheldon Pinto to discuss Android 12 and Wear OS announcements that took place at Google I/O 2021.

Android 12 is projected as all about customization and personality. It comes with an all-new visual style designed to take on various custom skins that smartphone manufacturers often use on their phones over a standard Android experience. The goal of improving the interface of the new Android version is to encourage manufacturers to use the vanilla treatment over their offerings. It also aims to give users a reason to look for a smartphone with a standard interface, such as a new Pixel phone.

Google also showed new privacy features for Android 12, similar to what Apple has had on iOS 14 for the past few months.

Like Android 12, Wear OS is getting a facelift this year, with third-party Tiles and the new tap-to-switch app gesture support. This time, Samsung is also partnering with Google, bringing Tizen’s power efficiency and other features to the latest Wear OS version. Fitbit’s fitness-focused features also come as an integrated package within the new wearables operating system.

On the second half of this week’s Orbital episode, Akhil meets with zombie nerds Ali Pardiwala and Shayak Majumder to discuss Zack Snyder’s new zombie robbery thriller: Army of the Dead. The film is available on Netflix and stars Dave Bautista and Ella Purnell.

Army of the Dead (which lasts nearly two and a half hours) was announced in 2007, but work on it didn’t begin until 2019. The film’s plot is set in Las Vegas, although it functions more like a video game mission set. In a post-apocalyptic western wasteland.

I have been blogging since August 2011. I have had over 10,000 visitors to my blog! My goal is to help people, and I have the knowledge and the passion to do this. I love to travel, dance, and play volleyball. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. I started writing my blogs when I lived in California. I would wake up in the middle of the night and write something while listening to music and looking at the ocean. When I moved to Texas, I found a new place to write. I would sit in my backyard while everyone else was at work, and I could write all day.
