It’s been four years since Meghan Markle married Prince Harry and dazzled the world with her custom Givenchy wedding dress. She continued to bring the same blend of sophistication and individuality to her wardrobe while being a member of the royal family and regularly pushing the boundaries of traditional clothing. Today, after her and Prince Harry’s departure from royal life, she still mixes her designer duds with high-end street brands and more affordable pieces — often paired with her signature messy bun.

While everything she wears tends to fly off the shelves, you can still find several Markle-worn styles to shop for. Give your closet a royal treatment with these Duchess’s beloved designs.

Meghan Markle

Shop versatile pieces from J.Crew

Markle is famously a fan of J.Crew, as is her husband Harry, who owns the brand’s Ludlow suit in various shades. She regularly sports styles from the company, including the High-Rise Toothpick Jeans, which she wore on a visit to New Zealand in 2018. Unlike most of the pieces, Markle steps into, the charcoal-colored jeans are still for sale. They come in waist sizes 23 to 37 for women, as well as petite and high waist sizes for women 23 to 32. Dress your denim in a blazer, as Markle did, or pair it with a plain white T-shirt to keep it casual.

Another of Markle’s go-tos from J.Crew? The Juliette collarless sweater blazer, which she wore to the US Open in 2019. The style doubles as a lounge-worthy sweater and a light jacket to ward off the cold. It comes in khaki, gray, and black in women’s sizes XXS to 3X. Reviewers also rave about the royally-approved style, with one calling it a “rare gem.” Perhaps “crown jewel” would be more appropriate?

Don delicate jewelry

While most of the pieces in Markle’s jewelry box will cost you over $1,000, she also selected some slightly more affordable accessories. She’s been spotted wearing Brooklyn-based jewelry brand Catbird’s Threadbare Ring, a small design with a smaller price tag than many of Markle’s rings. When we tried out Catbird’s signature stackable designs, we loved mixing and matching the delicate, versatile jewelry.

Markle also pairs precious pieces — including her diamond engagement ring from her late mother-in-law Princess Diana’s collection — with jewelry from London-based “demi-fine” jewelry brand Missoma. If you like Markle’s style, try the heart-engraved Open Heart Signet ring, which is made of gold-plated vermeil.

Treat your feet to a pair of comfortable sneakers.

Perhaps in the sneaker-clad footsteps of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Sussex is also a fan of the French sneaker brand Veja. The durable shoes — our tester called comfortable and versatile — are available from Nordstrom in all-white or with brown or pink accents in unisex shoe sizes 5 to 10.

While dating Prince Harry, Markle was known to rock Reeboks for casual outings. You can find the unisex sneakers she wore during her courtship in shoe sizes ranging from men’s size 6/women’s size 10 to men’s size 15/women’s size 16.5. Perhaps she will return to the retro style now that she lives in California.

Try a trendy tote bag.

When it comes to chic, effortless style, Markle has it in the bag regularly, even when it comes to, well, bags. Markle has worn several of Madewell’s millennial-loved types over the years, including the brand’s Canvas Transport Tote. The bag has handles and a detachable side strap made of Italian leather for easy carrying. Try Markle’s clear olive canvas tote bag, or shop for the same design in black or brown.

Markle also regularly carries bags from Everlane, the brand known for “radical transparency” in its ethical standards. While her exact styles are no longer sold, the brand’s Cactus Leather Hobo has a similar leather-like look. The vegetable leather bag has a handy inner compartment and is available in brown, black, and green.

Complete your look with casual shoes.

When Markle isn’t wearing sky-high stilettos fit for a princess, she’s known for stepping into Rothys’ flats. She’s a fan of the recycled content brand, as she once wore one of the face masks when she dropped off her son Archie at school. The Duchess of Sussex owns at least two pairs of durable, pointed-toe flats from The Point, which come in 16 colors year round and special seasonal shades. However, remember that the shoes may have a break-in period, as with our tester. Shop them in women’s shoe sizes 5 to 13.

If you want to start the summer off with some nice footwear – consider one of Markle’s favorite wedges. She has worn the Carina espadrilles from the Spanish brand Castañar several times, often combined with flowy, colorful dresses. The classic design, made of jute and canvas, ties a bow at the heel. They are available in sizes IT35 to IT41, which, according to the brand, convert to shoe sizes 5 to 11 for women in the US.
