The Honor 8 Pro (Review) smartphone was launched in India on Thursday. Honor is a Huawei brand, for those who don’t know, and this launch is significant because this smartphone competes with the OnePlus 5, which aims to be a flagship killer. If you look at the spec sheet of the Honor 8 Pro, it packs 6GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery, meaning it certainly isn’t lacking in firepower. There is only one Honor 8 Pro variant in India, which is good news as far as we are concerned. It leads to less confusion for buyers, and if you are one of them, the only decision you have to make about this smartphone is whether you want the Navy Blue or Midnight Black variant.

In other news, the Honor Band 3 also launched in India on Thursday. Strangely enough, we don’t know the price of the Honor Band 3 yet. Honor has only revealed that the Honor Band 3 will be water resistant, have active heart rate monitoring, and be sold exclusively through Amazon India.

Here are all the other things that have made news in the world of technology today.

Nokia 8 will be the company’s flagship. While earlier rumors had suggested that Nokia 9 could be the unknown heart of Nokia with 8GB of RAM, it appears that this is not Nokia’s future flagship smartphone. The Nokia 8 could be that phone if we are to believe leaks. Chinese site CNMO has leaked marketing materials and images of the Nokia 8 showing design details. The Nokia 8 is seen with a borderless design, apart from a USB Type-C port and dual speakers on the bottom of the smartphone. Another image also shows a unique thin vertical camera strip on the back of the smartphone on the left, which is not in line with previous rumors about the Nokia 8.

If leaks aren’t the news you’re looking for, Nokia’s partnership with Zeiss optics may interest you. A Nokia phone that’s already out there, the Nokia 3310 (2017), got cool new packaging.

Xiaomi Mi MIX2 2 leaked. Xiaomi may have surprised everyone with the launch of the Mi MIX last year, thanks to the bezel-free display on the smartphone, but there was a lot more to it than just a spectacular-looking phone. For starters, the phone was never made available outside of China. However, its successor, the Mi MIX 2, has now appeared on a benchmark site. That’s nice to see, but we hope the smartphone is more than just a ‘limited launch’ this time.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leak shows dual camera Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is still a long way from launch, but that has never stopped the rumor mill or the Gadgets 360 staff from working overtime. The latest leaked image shows a vertical dual rear camera on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. As with all rumors and leaks, take this with a grain of salt, but the fingerprint scanner placement seems to be a concern if this is true.

I have been blogging since August 2011. I have had over 10,000 visitors to my blog! My goal is to help people, and I have the knowledge and the passion to do this. I love to travel, dance, and play volleyball. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. I started writing my blogs when I lived in California. I would wake up in the middle of the night and write something while listening to music and looking at the ocean. When I moved to Texas, I found a new place to write. I would sit in my backyard while everyone else was at work, and I could write all day.
